Fees and Payment

I charge $5.00 each for "quick lookups"—copies of certificates and other records when you provide index information. Payment becomes due after I email to let you know that I've found the records you requested, and I wait until I receive payment before sending out digital (JPG format) and paper copies of the records.

If you use PayPal during the day, I'll almost always email the JPGs by evening; if you use PayPal in the evening, you'll hear from me the next morning. If you send me a check, I'll send you the JPGs after I receive your envelope. Copies usually go out the same or next day. Payment options are summarized below.

Please do not send payment before I send the invoice. Sometimes I are not able to find the records you ask for. And, please DO NOT send cash. I cannot and will not accept responsibility for it if it gets lost in the mail.

PayPal

This button will take you to a page that will let you send me payment quickly and easily, even if you don't have a PayPal account. Just make sure to put your name and the invoice number in the memo box.

I charge a small additional fee if you use this option ($.30 + 2.9%—the amount that PayPal charges us). For a single lookup, it's just a few cents more than the cost of the stamp you would have used to send a check.

If you choose this option, please email me to let me know to watch for your check. Sometimes mail travels slower than expected, and it helps if we stay in touch.
Account

If you know that you will need quick access to records on an on-going basis, you can email me to make arrangements to deposit a small amount of money "on account," either by PayPal or check. If you use this option, I will deduct fees from the money you have on account, send out JPGs and photocopies immediately, and refund the balance any time you ask.
